At Hagan Ortho + Kids Dental, quality care is just where we start. We believe going to the dentist doesn’t have to be scary. Visiting the orthodontist doesn’t have to be a chore. And you should be able to feel relaxed even in a medical office. With these beliefs in mind, we have created an environment friendly to all ages, making sure everyone feels at ease from the waiting room to the patient chair.
Meet Dr. Tracy Hagan!
Born and raised in San Diego, Dr. Hagan is proud to serve families in La Jolla. She earned her dental degree at Tufts on a Dean’s Honor Scholarship, completed dual specialties in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics at UCLA, and has provided care to children both locally and abroad. Outside the office, she enjoys life with her husband, two kids, and plenty of time in the ocean.

Dr. Hagan has lived an exciting life that has led her full circle to the place she loves most – La Jolla, California.
After being raised in San Diego, Dr. Hagan received her Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Neuroscience from UCSD, then attended the prestigious Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts where she received the Dean’s Honor Scholarship for academics each year.
As a dental student, she strived for much more than just academic excellence. Dr. Hagan found herself heavily involved in humanitarian care with a nonprofit dental group who provides dental care to children in third-world countries. It was during this time that she traveled to Venezuela and Nicaragua to educate families on oral health and treat children in need – a formative time of her life that shaped her joy of serving others.
After graduating from Tufts, Dr. Hagan moved back to California to pursue a dual speciality in pediatric dentistry as well as orthodontics at UCLA, a great honor given the limited annual acceptance rates. And now Dr. Hagan loves serving the community that she has known and loved her whole life.
Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. Sports and extracurricular activities keep their family quite busy, but in their free time they enjoy traveling, surfing, swimming, and cooking.
Meet Dr. Dorin Coffler!
A San Diego native, Dr. Coffler has always had a gift for caring for children. She studied Biology at UCLA, graduated with top honors from USC School of Dentistry, and completed advanced pediatric training at Yale. Passionate about serving families, she has provided care in both local communities and underserved areas across California. Outside the office, she enjoys pilates, the beach, and cooking.

From her earliest days growing up in San Diego, Dr. Coffler’s gentle and nurturing spirit was evident. As one of four sisters, her love of caring for children began with the joy she found in helping her parents with her younger siblings. This passion blossomed through her time as a YMCA summer camp counselor and a dedicated scout leader, where she was adored by children and their parents alike.
Dr. Coffler earned her Biology degree from UCLA before attending the USC School of Dentistry, where she graduated with the highest honors. While at USC, her compassionate nature led her to volunteer with the Mobile Dental Clinic, traveling across California to provide quality dental care for children in underserved communities. Her educational journey culminated in advanced training in pediatric dentistry at Yale University, where she honed her skills treating children of all ages, including those with complex medical conditions.
Outside the office, she stays active with pilates, enjoys the beach, and loves experimenting with new recipes. Dr. Coffler looks forward to welcoming your family and leveraging her elite training to help your kiddos maintain their healthy happy smiles.
