Taking Care of Little Smiles

From tiny tots to teens, we are here to provide comprehensive, compassionate care for your child. We handle all dental needs from cleanings to cavities to crowns but our goal is to instill healthy habits so your child spends the least amount of time in the patient chair as possible.

When to see a dentist

Surprisingly enough, we love to see your child by six months of age or by the time their first tooth shows up. There are so many factors to take into consideration such as developmental issues and early-childhood cavities. We want to make sure we capture all of them as soon as we can and set them up for a lifetime of healthy habits.

Your Child’s First Visit

Your child’s first dental visits can set the stage for a lifetime of good oral habits. We want to help form a good foundation of oral health while helping your child understand from an early age that the dentist does not have to be a scary place.

preventative Treatment

We believe preventative care is the most effective care. Starting from the first tooth to near-adulthood, we encourage regular bi-annual visits to maintain healthy baby teeth that will usher in healthy adult teeth. We want your child to learn how they can take great care of their bodies throughout their life by starting with their teeth.

Specialized Treatments

Space maintainers:  These are great appliances that are easy for your child to wear and will help to shape the space needed in their mouth for their adult teeth to come in with better alignment and less contact.

Caries treatment: This is ultimately our treatment approach to reverse decay at its first sighting. Oftentimes it’s the least invasive approach which keeps your child happier and under less stress.

Topical Fluoride — Providing a treatment of fluoride that’s greater than what’s typically found in toothpaste will help to harden the tooth’s enamel and strengthen your little one’s chompers.

Dental Sealants — The little grooves on the chewing surfaces of back teeth known as “pits and fissures” can sometimes become the perfect place for bacteria and decay. We can seal them up if needed to protect your child’s teeth.

Root Canal Treatment — Sometimes children need root canals unfortunately. Whether it’s a surfing, biking, skating, or overall silly accident, we want to make sure we keep the tooth there to serve as a runway for the adult tooth behind it.

Bonding — This is pretty common in childhood. Little chips and nicks to the teeth can be easily repaired with tooth-colored bonding materials. This keeps your child’s growth headed in the right direction, not to mention lookin’ good.
